LOCAL INTEREST VISITS

Home More About Frome 3A Monthly Meetings Groups Links Contact Us

This Group operates on the basis that any member who would like to visit anywhere of interest can propose a visit, checking that it is open on the Friday in question and confirming costs. Details of the next month's visit will be announced at the main monthly meeting at the Assembly Rooms, including a proposed meeting time for the visit, and any Frome Third Age members can go.

Meg Young and Sandy Earner will provide minimal coordination for the group and you should speak to either of them if you wish to propose a visit or have any other queries in relation to the group. Both will normally attend the main monthly meeting and you can speak to them there, or email them on meg@highandlow.plus.com or sandy.earner@gmail.com respectively.

The next visit will be on Friday 7th February. We’re going to Lacock, to the Abbey Grounds (maybe snowdrops), the Cloisters and the Fox Talbot Museum of Photography. Entry is free for National Trust members. Please check the website for prices if you’re not a member.

The village itself is also interesting (Tithe Barn). It has been used frequently for filming, including for Harry Potter.

The plan is to meet at 11.00am in The Stables Tea Room

The December visit was to Tyntesfield, the National Trust property near Bristol. The pictures below were taken during the visit.
