The group coordinator is Mark Pollock - 07855 234979 - pollockmark432@gmail.com

Each month (Fourth Friday) the group visits a site of wildlife interest, usually in Somerset, Wiltshire or Dorset.

Over the spring and summer we have continued to enjoy wonderful wildlife including trips to Battlesbury Hill, East Woodlands and to RSPB Arne. At Arne we searched in vain for sight of Dartford Warblers but were rewarded with sightings of other bird species including some lovely Sandwich Terns. (Kentish Plovers are the third British bird named after Kent place names - a useful bit of quiz trivia).

Finally, as I indicated at the start of the year I plan to step down as co-ordinator of this group after five enjoyable years. So, if anyone from the group, or from outside the group, would like to take over from early 2025 please let me know ASAP.

We look forward to future visits over the remainder of 2024 as set out below:

Detailed meeting arrangements to be circulated by email closer to the relevant date. (Please see F3A disclaimer on page 16)

27th September - RSPB Radipole.
25th October - SWT Westhay.
22nd November - RSPB Greylake.
